Summer Solstice
This is it! First day of summer! Longest daylight of the year! Here in Nut Crik we are at latitude 37.91N, and our daylight hours total 14:48. Bromsgrove is at 52.15N, so their daylight is longer.
(Do we start the time when the tip of the sun appears on the horizon, or wait until the entire orb is visible? Nuance, my friend, and of no real importance if you are consistent. Oh well. . .)

Missed yesterday's sunrise/sunset numbers but for today, the day after the solstice, we've got sunrise 4:42 and sunset 21:21, which should make for 16:39 hours of daylight! Blackout curtains are required in these parts...
