Union Pacific's #844 came through the East Bay earlier this week. It was nostalgia time.

Thereafter, she (steam engines are always female) headed East across the Altamont.

The lovely mail lady backed her truck up to the front door today. Said she had to deliver a package. Then, she said "You have a wonderful little oasis up here. Quiet, lots of flowers, great rose smells. Reminds me of the mother's house."

Cherry Blossom Time in D.C.
